Agency:  Keep Islip Clean - a community enhancement organization celebrating their 30th Anniversary that is dedicated to ending litter, beautifying communities, promoting recycling and education.  KIC is an affiliate of the national organization, Keep America Beautiful.   


Project Description:   Community Spring Litter Cleanup to enhance the community and improve the local environment in a high profile, littered areas of Islip North. Project will be led by KIC and the Islip North Community Watch Group.

Location:  Meet at Commack Road Park at the corner of Commack Road and Spur Drive South, Islip   
  

Date & Time:  Saturday, April 6th - 9:00AM - 11:00AM

Project Description:  Annual East Islip Community Spring Cleanup of areas throughout the community.  Cleanup assignments will be given at sign-in.

Location:  Bay Shore - meet at the corner of Spur Drive South and Illinois Avenue      


Date & Time:  Wednesday, April 24th - 10:00am - 2:00pm, Sign in at 9:45am.

Project Description:  Good Samaritan Earth Day Cleanup.  Join volunteers from Good Samaritan Hospital for a good old fashioned litter cleanup in honor of Earth Day!  It's the quickest way to have a positive impact on the beauty of a community and health of the environment. 

 

Location:  West Islip.  Meet by Good Samaritan Hospital at corner of Montauk Hwy and Beach Drive. 

 

Date & Time:  Monday, April 22 - 2:00 pm - 4:00PM

Agency:  Sweetbriar Nature Center is a not for profit whose mission is to provide nature education and wildlife rehabilitation for Suffolk County residents.   Sweetbriar is located on a 55 acre woodland preserve by the Nissequogue River filled with trails along with an enclosed butterfly garden, an interactive nature museum and over 70 no-releasable animals.



Project Description:  Enjoy the beautiful grounds as you help with trail maintenance.    
 

Location:  Smithtown

Agency:  Options for Community Living is committed to assisting individuals and families in need to develop their fullest potential for independent living.  Residential and support services prepare participants for the demands and responsibilities of community life and promote housing permanency, health, safety and welfare.  


Project Description:  Interior and exterior work at a residence in Medford.  Interior painting (living room, kitchen, hallway.)  Exterior:  Paint/stain the deck.  Power wash home, trim bushes/trees, plant/mulch garden beds.

Location:  Medford        
   

Date & Time:  Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm  
      

No. of Volunteers Needed:  15-20 people

Supplies Provided: Agency will be able to provide all supplies, but donations are welcome.
